When did you join the Kaizer Chiefs Female Celebrity Team?
It was a half a year ago. I did not even think twice about joining Amakhosi! I love the team. I love the brand. I was born in Langa, Cape Town which is also home to Amakhosi in the Mother City. I also have great respect for the Man himself, Mr. Kaizer Motaung who has done a very good job to put the Club where it is today.
Tell us about your life with the Chiefs Female Celebrity Team?
I have enjoyed every minute of it and it was a dream come true for me to don the Kaizer Chiefs famous gold and black jersey. It has also been a pleasure playing with other female celebrities, but we forget about that when we are on the field. We are all focused on winning and doing our best for the brand. We played a couple of curtain raisers for the Senior Team last season...it was awesome!
What is the feedback from your fans and the community?
They are so proud of me. I also think I am a good player who works very hard not to disappoint my fans. I can’t wait to be back in the team when I am finished with my current project, Strictly Come Dancing.
How is the spirit among the girls?
We are all very ‘tight’ and get along with each other very well. We have one mission when we enter the pitch, to win! That is what Kaizer Chiefs is all about...winning!
The Team also does some charity work...
Yes again this is what Kaizer Chiefs is all about, giving back to the community. Earlier this year we played our part during the unfortunate xenophobic attacks that the country was confronted with. We visited certain communities offering our support. That aspect of uplifting communities embraced me about the Club.
Tell us a little bit about Strictly Come Dancing?
I am learning everyday and I have enjoyed every minute of it as well. I am learning new dance moves everyday and I am working very hard because it is tough there. You need to be in a top shape to compete. This Season’s Show is currently aired on SABC 2 every Thursday from 21h30-22h30 since the 2nd October and will go on for 10 weeks. I want to be the champion of Strictly Come Dancing Season 5. I am sure that by the time I return back to the field, I will be in top shape.
So you can’t wait to be back with the team?
Kaizer Chiefs is my first love...!
