1.It has come to Kaizer Chiefs’ attention that Chiefs Academy of Soccer Excellence (Pty) (“Chiefs Academy”) published an advertisement in the Soccer Laduma publication, dated 22 May 2013, inviting players aged between 10 to 20 years to soccer trials at Ellis Park Stadium that took place on 1 and 2 June 2013.

2. Kaizer Chiefs’ is aware that there are several other similar invitations that Chiefs Academy has sent out, inter alia, via its Facebook page.

3. Please note that Kaizer Chiefs is in no way associated with, or affiliated to, Chiefs Academy or its directors, Gabriel Ian Tsetsengwa, David Lerato Majoro and Qenemoze Enock Tshabalala. In addition, Kaizer Chiefs has not authorised Chiefs Academy to use its registered trademarks in the manner in which they are used.

4. Kaizer Chiefs has been advised that numerous members of the public have been confused into believing that this entity is associated with Kaizer Chiefs and Kaizer Chiefs is taking steps to disassociate itself with this entity and to enforce its rights in and to its various trademarks and other intellectual property rights.
