There will be no love lost when Amakhosi host league log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 9 January 2016 (kick-off is at 20:15).

This will be Kaizer Chiefs’ first Absa Premiership fixture in the New Year.

Amakhosi beat Bidvest Wits 2-1 in the last league clash of 2015, after having lost the Telkom Knockout final to the Brazilians three days earlier.

Sundowns and Wits are both on 26 points after having played 12 league games. The Tshwane-side is on top of the log thanks to a better goal difference. Mpumalanga Black Aces are in third position (24 points from 12 matches), while Amakhosi follow hot on their heals with 21 points from the same number of games played.

The match on Saturday, 9 January 2016, will therefore be an interesting clash, with both teams fighting for the Absa Premiership title.

Supporters are encouraged to book their seats as early as possible as a near capacity crowd is expected at the Calabash.

Tickets are already selling at a fast rate at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide. Stand ticket cost R40 for adults and R10 for children. Parking tickets go for R20.
