Kaizer Chiefs and New Era are proud to introduce Amakhosi’s new elegant and stylish cap range that will be available this summer to all Kaizer Chiefs supporters.
The Kaizer Chiefs Range will consist of the flagship 59Fifty fitted style as well as the 9Fifty, 39Thirty and 9Forty styles.
New Era is an international lifestyle brand with an authentic sports heritage that dates back over 90 years.
Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung expressed her delight at the new partnership with New Era that will see Amakhosi players and supporters wear the new stylish and glamorous Kaizer Chiefs branded caps.
“Partnerships of this nature are of utmost importance to us,” she says. “New Era’s international footprint and Kaizer Chiefs’ popularity will ensure that we both expand our brands in the sporting and lifestyle space. There is a special cap in the range that we’ve named ‘The Kaizer Cap’ (9Fifty) as the Chairman is immensely fond of it. However, there are different styles and shapes for everyone. We strongly believe our Gold & Black Family will love and wear these elegant caps with pride this summer wherever they go.”
The Kaizer Cap retains the club’s traditional colour combinations, while other caps in the range add some exciting subtle combinations of grey and navy blue.
“We are extremely proud to announce the inaugural and officially licensed Chiefs collection,” reacts New Era’s Brand Manager Dayn Mamet. “It's a range designed for the fans and gives them another way to express the passion for their team on the big day.”
Kaize Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune endorsed the new cap with a lot of enthusiasm after wearing it at the Soweto Derby press conference on Thursday. “I haven’t taken the cap off since I wore it yesterday. I love the design and believe they will be a big hit with our supporters.”
The caps will be made available to the millions of fans through an exclusive launch at The Cross Trainer stores followed later by selected retailers and online.
Kaizer Chiefs retail stores in Naturena and Tramshed shopping centre in Pretoria will stock the caps and they will also be available online at www.kcdigistore.com.
