Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom Roadshows resumed with a scintillating spectacle in 2013 during a stopover that rocked Mabopane, north of Pretoria, in the afternoon of Monday, 11 February.

The crowd gathered in their numbers to welcome and enjoy the afternoon in the company of Kaizer Chiefs and their main sponsor Vodacom at the Mabopane Central City shopping mall.

The Amakhosi Faithful came out in their numbers to support the activation and they were not disappointed as most of them walked away with Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom hampers. As promised the activation brought joy to the sizeable crowd as they were treated to a variety of entertainment. Chiefs staff and management including the Supporters Retail Manager Emmanuel Khumalo and Marketing Director Jessica Motaung were present to interact with the supporters.

kaizerchiefs.com caught up with Jessica to find out how she felt about the resumption of the Roadshows after a short Afcon break: “Touching base with our supporters is priceless. This is the backbone of the Club, what distinguishes Chiefs from the other teams is togetherness of the Amakhosi legion.

Meeting the Branch leaders and Supporters Club Members is always a pleasure given that we always meet at the stadium where in most cases the focus is in the game. Here it is up close and a personal touch with the public. We would like to thank our main sponsor Vodacom and the people who attended the show – we just want to let them know that we love them and they should continue to support their team.

We will be meeting at the Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday, 12 February, 19:30 as we take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the ABSA Premiership Fixture and the supporters told us they could not wait for the match after the short break.”

The next stopover is planned for Friday, 15 February 2013 at the Pan Africa Mall in Alexandra ahead of the Kaizer Chiefs home ABSA Premiership Fixture against Free State Stars.

The game is scheduled to take place at the FNB Stadium – kick-off is at 20:15.
