Chiefs appoints a new Corporate Communications Manager

Kaizer Chiefs has appointed Alpheus Vina Maphosa as Corporate Communications Manager following the reconstruction of the department.



Vina joins the Amakhosi family after serving the Vaal University of Technology as an Engineering Technician and later as Director of Coorporative Education. He has also served as a Member of the Board in several companies including the World Association of Cooperative Education, Automative Industry Development Centre, and the Central Johannesburg College just to mention a few.



The well travelled Speaker, MC, Writer and founder of the Mabopane Career and Information Expo has also consulted for international organisations like the USAID supported United Negro College Fund and presented papers at conferences in the SADC, European, US and Pacific countries.



When asked why the change from education to sport, he retorted; “I have served the education sector through my previous employer at the Vaal University of Technology and achieved my 10000 hours of service. Change is constant in our lives. I love sport and Chiefs is close to my heart hence I could not resist the Chairman’s challenge to consider serving the Phefeni Glamour Boys”.



In welcoming a new colleague, Marketing Director; Jessica Motaung said “we are looking forward to receiving Vina into the family. We pledge our support and hope to tap into his expertise to guide our communications”.



Maphosa assumes his responsibilities on the 01st of July 2012.
