Following successful stop overs in Harrismith and Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, the Kaizer Chiefs Roadshows continued in Kwa Mashu's Bridge City Mall on Friday.
This is ahead of the MTN 8 Cup final taking place on Saturday night, 20 September 2014 at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Amakhosi legion gathered and enjoyed the entertaining interaction with the Chiefs staffers. The Marketing Director Jessica Motaung was at the event accompanied by the Chiefs players Josta Dladla, Hendrick Ekstein, Lorenzo Gordinho and Chris Matombo.
An Amakhosi Supporters Club member, Thabiso Mhlaba from Lamontville Branch expressed his excitement at the sight of his favourite club. He said, "When I heard that my team will be visiting my backyard I waited in anticipation to witness this. I love Chiefs. With Lady Luck on my side, hopefully I will stand a chance to win a ticket to attend the match tomorrow."
Motaung and the players were met by a cheering crowd. The supporters were able to purchase authentic merchandise through KC Retail, Rica their KC Mobile Starter Packs and complete their KC Insurance applications.
Motaung and the players visited Kwa Mashu's Vodacom Shop at Bridge City Mall to meet staff and customers. The players signed autographs and greeted the shoppers during the walk about.
The delegation proceeded to engage in the similar way at the Vodacom Shop at the Kwamnyandu Mall in Umlazi.
"Vodacom is our main sponsor and the visit to their stores is a continuous way of expressing the partnership. The players went on a walk about, meeting and greeting the shoppers and the public. They also signed autographs much to the delight of the customers at the stores. We are happy to see the partnership with Vodacom manifesting in this way," an upbeat Motaung said after the marathon day of activities.
The road to Durban ahead of the MTN 8 Cup Final on Saturday, 20 September 2014 will be concluded in Umlazi Mega City, in Umlazi from 10:00 to 14:00 and at Moses Mabhida Stadium from 14:00 to 20:00.
The Umlazi leg of the roadshow will be another opportunity for our supporters to buy Amakhosi merchandise and to win a ticket for the sold out MTN8 Cup final.
