Kaizer Chiefs team landed in Swaziland at midday on Thursday to participate in the inaugural King’s Super Cup tournament which takes place on Saturday, 18 July, at the Somhlolo National stadium in Lobamba, which is located between Mbabane and Manzini.
Swaziland's Minister of sport and culture, David Ngcamphalala, welcomed the team at the King Mswati III International airport.
The team travelled to the neighbouring kingdom from Potchefstroom, where they had just completed their week long pre-season training camp.
“The team is shaping up well and we are ready for a great tournament in Swaziland,” says coach Steve Komphela.
“The tournament will help us prepare for the tough season ahead and we look forward to meeting our supporters in Swaziland.”
The tournament kicks off on Saturday at 09:30 with local team Mbabane Swallows meeting Amakhosi in the first semifinal.
The second match will see Royal Leopards take on Orlando Pirates at midday.
The winners of these two games will meet in the final at 16:00.
All matches will be shown live on Supersport 4.
