Kaizer Chiefs Reserves recorded their third successive win when they beat Polokwane City Reserves 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.
It was always going to be a humdinger, and the game didn’t disappoint at all.
Amakhosi came back from a goal down in the first half to muscle a win at the end.
Chiefs’ goals were scored in the second half by Sizwe Twala (brace), Lehlohonolo Mirwa and Ayanda Rorwana.
The MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) match was played at Dobsonville Stadium.
“We anticipated a good game,” said Chiefs’ reserve side coach Arthur Zwane. “We knew we had to grind out a result, especially as we conceded unnecessary goals. We have to work on our defensive errors.”
Amakhosi could have won with a wider margin. “We will work on all this as part of the development process. I’m happy with the result though,” reflected Zwane.
Chiefs’ line-up: Tshabalala, Moodley, Mirwa (Matakanya 85’), Shopane (Lekoatsa 88’), Radebe, Mokoena, Rorwana, Malope, Thibedi, Twala, Mabanga
Subs not used: Petersen, Bunting, Mbatha
Head Coach: Arthur Zwane
