Kaizer Chiefs put in a convincing performance to hand Madagascar’s Elgeco Plus a 3-0 first leg defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup first round.

Philani Zulu opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the match. Leonardo Castro scored two goals in six minutes as he netted in the 86th minute before converting a penalty in the 92nd minute of the match.

The win is Ernst Middendorp’s second from two games as Chiefs take a healthy lead heading into the second leg in Antananarivo on 22 December 2018.
