We will in the New Year continue working hard on ensuring that we reach our set goals and targets. My message to the fans and to all the clubs staff members is to have a blessed time over the festive period and take care especially on the roads”.
Mnguni tribute
In her speech Chiefs Marketing Manager Jessica Motaung paid tribute to Chiefs slain former MC at home games Jeff Mnguni, who was murdered at the end of September for his charisma and colourful manner in which he did his job. She also thanked the club staff for their efforts over the year - she gave special thanks to the team that worked on the recently re-launched Kaizer Chiefs Supporter's Club saying. “To all those who worked on the re-launch of the supporters club, it was a trying and testing time but you all persevered and must be congratulated for keeping at it and setting up the supporters centre in Soweto”.
Relaxing time
The Chiefs annual Christmas party is one of two occasions in the year when the clubs entire staff get together in a social environment, Club Financial Manager Jason Raine, sporting a pink and silver crown and having a truly enjoyable time, said a festive looking Raine sporting a shiny party crown: “It is always nice to get together like this away from the office, the only time I get to see most of the players and other staff is when they need help with financial queries. So it’s good to get the opportunity to sit and kid around with the guys and talk about something other than rands and cents”.
