Kick-off is at 3pm live on SS4.
Premier Soccer League's media manager, Altaaf Kazi, explained
that the first choice venue, Newlands Stadium in Cape Town, is unavailable.
The only other venue big enough to host the popular Chiefs is the
Athlone Stadium, which is being upgraded to be used as a training
venue for the World Cup, which kicks off in June, and is also
unavailable.
Kazi said: "Chiefs are on a roll at present and we expect a
bumper crowd for this cup-tie. For security reasons the only
stadium suitable was the Botshabelo Stadium, which is 40 kilometres
east of Bloemfontein and has a capacity of about 22 000.
"FC Cape Town officials understand the difficulty and have
accepted playing their home match in the Free State."
Kazi said the match will be an all-ticket affair. Tickets are on
sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers outlets.
The lack of venues in Cape Town has also forced the PSL to stage
Ajax Cape Town's second-round clash against fellow PSL side Free
State Stars at Stellenbosch's Coetzenburg Stadium on Saturday at
3pm.
The second-round matches will be staggered over the two
weekends. Holders Moroka Swallows will host AmaZulu at Dobsonville on
Saturday night at 8.15pm, while Jomo Cosmos will entertain last season's
finalists, Pretoria University, at the Rand Stadium on Sunday, also
at 3pm, to complete this weekend's four cup fixtures.
Mamelodi Sundowns have been forced to play their home match
against Black Leopards at the Rand Stadium, south of Johannesburg on May 2.
Downs were supposed to use Atteridgeville's Super Stadium in Pretoria West as
their home ground, but that venue has been reseeded to be used
as a training venue for the World Cup and will not be ready before
the PSL season ends next month.
