Kaizer Chiefs Development (U19) will be taking part in this year’s edition of the Metropolitan U19 Premier Cup taking place in Erica Park Belhar, in Western Cape, from 16 – 21 April 2014.

Tutored by Coach Arthur Zwane, the Chiefs Development side was upbeat ahead of the trip to the Mother City.

kaizerchiefs.com caught up with Coach Zwane to preview the tournament:

“It is another opportunity for us to measure the progress of our Development structures. We are going there to compete and also allow the boys to enjoy playing against their peers in a tournament setup. Everyone is upbeat and looking forward to the trip,” said Zwane.

The knockouts stage will take place on Saturday afternoon. Sunday will see the Plate Quarterfinals, Winners Quarterfinals and the Mid-Section Semi Finals taking place. The Plate Semi Final and the Winners Semi Finals will also be played on Sunday afternoon.

The games will culminate with the Plate Final, Mid-Section Final and the Metropolitan Championship Final on Monday, 21 April 2014 at 15:00.
