Kaizer Chiefs were on Thursday night drawn against Cape Town City. The Nedbank Cup quarterfinal draw was conducted in Randburg at the SuperSport Studio 6 and broadcasted live on SS4.
“We didn’t pre-empt any opponent,” commented George ‘Mido’ Maluleka. “It’s a good draw though.”
Amakhosi advanced to the quarterfinals via a 3-0 thumping of the ABC Motsepe League side, The Magic FC.
Cape Town City advanced to the quarterfinals by virtue of a 3-0 win over Highlands Park.
“We are looking forward to the match,” added Maluleka. “We have a good enough team to do well and advance to the next stage.”
The quarterfinals date is scheduled for the weekend of 30 March. The PSL competition committee will further announce the logistics in due course.
