"There's no good or bad draw. All the draws are the same." commented Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tefu Mashamaite. This was following the Telkom Knockout draw that took place at the SuperSport Studio 6 in Randburg. The draw was televised live on SS4 on Monday night.
"We knew about the draw, and sooner or later we were going to draw one team, and it happened to be Maritzburg United," continued Mashamaite.
"We got a home draw, playing in our backyard will give us the much needed edge. Every team from now will gun for us following the MTN 8 win. We are a team to beat now," added Masha referring to Kaizer Chiefs winning the 2014 MTN 8 Cup.
Chiefs will play Maritzburg in the league fixture this weekend and follow on with the TKO home draw against the same opponents the following week.
"It will be the repeat of the Platinum Stars situation, back to back games in the cup and league. We will have an edge in terms of motivation. We have one cup in the bag and that will be confidence booster going forward," said Mashamaite with supreme confidence.
