“We are looking forward to face Platinum Stars,” Kaizer Chiefs defender Siboniso Gaxa reacts after the 2015 Telkom Knockout draw. “It promises to be a competitive game. There are no easy opponents in the PSL.”
The PSL Competition Committee will soon announce when the game will be played. The dates set for this Telkom Knockout Last 16 round are set for 29, 30 September and 3, 4 October. The clash will be Platinum Stars’ home game and will therefore in all likelihood be played at Rustenburg’s Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
Each club had a supporter at the Telkom Knockout draw. “It was awesome,” reflects Austin Mofya, the Chairman of the Tshwane Region and the Pretoria Central Branch. “We will give it our best. To be present at this draw sends out the message that supporters are highly valued.”
SuperSport United are the reigning champions of the Telkom Knockout Cup. Chiefs remain the undisputed record holders with 13 titles. The last time Amakhosi won the cup was in 2010.
