Kaizer Chiefs dropped points in their opening Absa Premiership with Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Chippa were threatening with Mayambela asking Itumeleng Khune a few questions from as early as the seventh minute.
David Zulu got Chiefs closer to Chippa goals when he was blocked before pulling the trigger. In the 22nd minute, Joseph Molangoane was ruled offside by referee Victory Hlungwani.

The two sides were cautious at the start of the second stanza.
Chiefs started to string a few passes found Zulu lonely upfront and unable to get clear cut chances.
It was captain Tshabalala who nearly broke the deadlock when he was denied by the crossbar in the 54th minute with a 20-yard shot.
Tshabalala and Parker couldn't penetrate Chippa's back row With their desperate surge forward.
Khune pulled a brilliant save towards the death. Chiefs will welcome Free State Stars in their second match looking to up the tempo of defending their Championship. Ekstein, Karuru and Maluleka came it and all brought in some energy but, not enough to bring down Chippa in their own backyard.
