The MultiChoice Diski Challenge (Reserve League) group stages will conclude in the Northern Cape this weekend of the 25th – 26th October at the Galeshewe Stadium in Kimberley.
Second placed Kaizer Chiefs reserves will take on the fifth placed University of Pretoria during the two-day festival. The two teams will be jostling for the remaining six spots in the quarterfinals. Chiefs occupy second spot with Celtics leading with a better goal difference, both Chiefs and Celtic have eleven points and TUKS breathing heavily on their necks with 8 points.
Chiefs will be looking at another inspiring performance from the midfield wizard Hendrick Ekstein who has scooped four Man of the Matches since the start of the ‘Asidlali’ league. Ekstein was optimistic that Chiefs will reach the knockout stage of the tournament, he says, “We are motivated to win against TUKS on Saturday.” Looking at his unparalleled performances in the tournament, Ekstein attributes that to teamwork, “It is not about me as an individual, even though every player loves individual awards, what is important is the team and progressing to the next stage of the competition.”
Entry into Galeshewe Stadium is free with tickets available at all Shoprite/Checkers and Computicket outlets from Tuesday, 21 October until Friday, 24 October. Two tickets are allocated per person. Please note no tickets will be issued on match day.
Other than the football, fans will also get to enjoy entertainment from Kimberley’s local artists.
