The Kaizer Chiefs Family would like to send its sincere condolences to David Kekana’s family and friends following his passing on. May the Lord bless and comfort you during this difficult period.
David was a very diligent sport reporter, writer, analyst, presenter, researcher and producer. He dedicated his life to learning and sharing his wealth of knowledge with football fans across the country and beyond.
He was driven by passion and love for the game and journalism. He never stopped working.
He conducted his last interview with Kaizer Chiefs’ Chairman, Mr Kaizer Motaung and Reserve side’s coach Arthur Zwane at the Kaizer Chiefs Village on the eve of his hospitalisation.
He confessed that he was not feeling well but made sure that he completed the interview with aplomb before he could go to hospital. That is the drive, strength and commitment he had for his work.
It was a great privilege to know and work with David throughout the years. We will miss his smile, friendliness and the love he had.
Thank you for your great service David Kekana. We will always remember you.
