The Glamour Boys got an arousing welcome from more than 200 fans who braved out the cold in Cape Town to welcome the team ahead of the Absa Premiership fixture against Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday, 14 September 2011.

The Glamour Boys have had a good start in the Absa Premiership winning three out of three and on top of the log standings.

Supporters Relations Manager, Cecil Motaung paid tribute to the branches who showed support to the team following a defeat in the hands of Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final on Saturday evening.

“It was touching to see the supporters welcoming the team in that manner following a setback last Saturday. I would like to thank the branches; Nyanga, Town Two, Site C, Gugulethu, Minelton, Danone, and Samora for making time to welcome the team at Cape Town International earlier on Tuesday.

The players including the Technical Team and Football Manager, Bobby Motaung welcomed the gesture from the supporters. This is a demonstration of unity between the office and the supporters and with this kind of unity it will be difficult for the teams to break us down this season,” Motaung told kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday evening.

“It was also encouraging to hear that some of the branches outside Cape Town will be coming through to support the team against Ajax Cape Town. On Saturday, I had warned Orlando Pirates that they will not have seats at FNB Stadium and our fans came in numbers and it will not be different at Cape Town Stadium come tomorrow,” added Motaung.

Kick off for the game is at 19:30.
