ASEC Mimosas (2) 1 - 0 (1) Kaizer Chiefs



Kaizer Chiefs went down 0 - 1 to ASEC Mimosas in the Playoff of the CAF Confederation Cup.



ASEC Mimosas went into the game leading 2 - 1 from the 1st Leg.



Play started slow in the sweltering heat of Western Africa with both sides concentrating their play in the middle of the park.



Both keepers had already touched the ball within 5 minutes of the match, mostly from back passes and attempted crosses.



Score remained 0 - 0 at halftime.



ASEC Mimosas broke the deadlock in the 80th minute after a fine run on the right that beat Chiefs defenders for an easy tap in which gave Pieterse no chance, 1 - 0. Goal scorer Koffi Foba Kabran Stevens.



The end of the game was dominated by the two sides missing chance after chance.



Final score was 3 - 1 on aggregate paving the way for ASEC Mimosas to advance to the group stages of the competition.
