With Siphiwe Tshabalala receiving treatment on his hip injury sustained against Sierra Leone, the other players were sweating it out on the field at Club’s HQ in Naturena.
Stars, Tinashe 'The General' Nengomasha, Jimmy 'JJ' Jambo, Thomas 'Rambo' Sweswe, Valery Nahayo, Itumeleng 'Spider Kid' Khune, Reneilwe 'Maestro' Letsholonyane and Knowledge 'Smiling Assassin' Musona joined their teammates for training after representing their countries over the weekend.
Mandla 'Bullet' Masango and Lucky 'KAKA' Khune who were missing on Tuesday following a trip to Iran reported back to training on a windy Wednesday morning.
Musona, who admitted his disappointment following a goalless draw against Cape Verde said he was now fully focused on the upcoming game, “We (Zimbabwe) did not play well as a team and we need to improve if we are to increase our chances of qualifying for the African Cup of Nations in 2012.”
“My focus now and I am sure I speak for everyone in the team, is on Platinum Stars this weekend. We have had a good start in the league this season winning two out of two at home. It will be important for us to carry on with the form we have shown in the league this season,” said Musona.
Tickets for the game are still on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets around the country.
