After winning their last home game in Polokwane just over a week ago against SuperSport United, Kaizer Chiefs are back in Limpopo for their second and final home game to be staged at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium this evening. The Glamour Boys are hoping for for another win in the city when they face Mpumalanga-based TS Galaxy in their 26th league match of the season.

Chiefs had a tough day at the office in their previous outing, against Mamelodi Sundowns, where they lost the match and saw defender Given Msimango controversially shown a red card by referee, Abogile Tom. The same referee was suspended for four weeks earlier in the season after making incorrect calls in the corresponding fixture at Lucas Moripe Stadium back in August 2023.

Chiefs are looking at consolidating their position in the top 8 by picking up three points from the match. The home team find themselves in 8th position with 33 points and 25 matches. The visitors are 5th after picking up 38 points in 25 games.

There will be six changes in the team when compared with the game against Sundowns. In defence, the suspended Msimango is replaced by Njabulo Ngcobo at the back. A second defensive change sees Edmilson Dove returning from a one-match ban to take Thatayaone Ditlhokwe’s position. The last change is at right-back where Dillan Solomons returns to replace Zitha Kwinika.

The midfield will see Yusuf Maart make way for Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Mduduzi Shabalala is in for Edson Castillo. The last change is In attack where Ranga Chivaviro comes in for Ashley Du Preez.

Amakhosi will apply their 4-3-3 formation.

Bruce Bvuma is between the posts.

Frosler will once again play at left-back. Dove and Ngcobo are at the centre of defence, with Solomons slotting in on the right. .

The middle of the park has Mthethwa as the defensive midfielder. He will have Siyethemba Sithebe and Shabalala joining in attack.

Flankers are Pule Mmodi, who is on the left, and Christian Saile will be on the right.

Chivaviro is the main striker.

Dove will captain the team.

The referee for this evening is Cedric Muvhali. He is assisted by Kamohelo Ramutsindela and Kenneth Mamegwa. The fourth official is Thando Ndzanzeka.

This crucial DStv Premiership clash between The Phefeni Glamour Boys and The Rocket starts at 19:30 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The match is live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and SABC radio stations - with regular updates of the match on X (Twitter) @KaizerChiefs.
