Kaizer Chiefs winger George Lebese has stressed that Bafana Bafana have to win Friday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Angola as they carry the hopes and aspirations of millions of South Africans.

“We are ready, we are focused and we are looking forward to the game,” Lebese is quoted in a media release from Safa. “We know what is expected of us and we are aware that the country is behind us, because they know we can do the job. We just have to go out there and put in our best performance.”

Lebese is one of two Chiefs players that have been selected for Bafana Bafana, the other is Erick Mathoho. The also selected Amakhosi ‘keeper Itumeleng Khune had to withdraw from the squad due to injury.
