Affectionately known as “Ten-Ten” the no nonsense defender was part of the Kaizer Chiefs X1 back in 1969 and was also there when it all started in 1970 and knows all about winning cup competitions.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday afternoon Nzimande believes that the game is going to help Chiefs return back to winning ways. He said, “The past couple of results in the league have not gone our way. The cup competition is going to help the team to start winning games again...the guys need to score as more as they can. This will help the confidence of the strikers in particular,”
If we score 3 in the first half, let us double that in the second half. It is not going to be easy though playing against Nathi but I have no doubt that we will proceed to the next stage of the competition,” said the 62 year-old currently staying in Nanda, KwaZulu Natal.
Nzimande reveals to kaizerchiefs.com that he remains a big fan of the Phefeni Glamour Boys, “I will be at King Zwelithini Stadium come Sunday. I have always supported the Club since I stopped playing in 1978. We stand a very good chance to win both the league and Nedbank Cup. I would like to wish the team all the best,” he concluded.
