Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter expressed satisfaction with the weekend’s results: “We played back to back games in the Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC). We lost one and played a draw in another. I am pleased that on Sunday we played an entire development side, as we used some of the reserve squad players for the senior team’s game at the Macufe Cup.”
Chiefs are occupying third spot, trailing the log leaders by three points with two games to go in the round robin stage of the 8-team group. With the eight teams aiming for top four finish to advance to the knockout stage, Chiefs will be looking at maximum points when they host second placed Polokwane City on Sunday, 19 October 2014. The game will be played at the Nike Centre, Soweto. Kickoff is at 12h00 and the match will be televised live on SS4.
Entrance to the MDC matches is free. However, the fans must collect the tickets from Computicket outlets before coming to the game. Each person in possession of an ID can receive two tickets.
