The Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena on Thursday played host to Ofentse Molefe (13) of Nellmapius, Mamelodi, who had written to You magazine requesting to meet Kaizer Chiefs and Siphiwe Tshabalala.

Hundreds of struggling families and individuals approach YOU and Huisgenoot for help every year. This year, in the months leading up to Christmas, Ubuntu helped 50 of the readers, including young Ofentse.

Ofentse, who goes to school at Hoërskool CR Swart in Pretoria, was welcomed by Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung. “We are glad to have you here. Hope the visit to the Village inspires you. Enjoy each and every minute you spend here and who knows maybe one day we will see you back here. Take care,” she said.

The youngster, who admitted to being a fan of the Glamour Boys, was presented with a Club jersey by Dara Carroll before meeting the Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, and Assistant Coaches Ace Khuse and Arthur Zwane, who also spent time talking to the young child.

“Tshabalala (Siphiwe) and Letsholonyane (Reneilwe) are my favourite players,” said the visibly delighted youngster, talking to kaizerchiefs.com.

“He really loves the Club and I am sure he will never forget this day,” said his mother, Paulina Molefe, who had accompanied the youngster.

“I am happy that my dream to meet Siphiwe Tshabalala and the entire team came true. I am a left winger and I would have loved to join the guys for training. I think I can learn a lot from both Siphiwe Tshabalala and George Lebese, who are also playing on the wing.

“I do understand though that the team has a tough game coming up against Platinum Stars this Sunday.“

Ofentse, like many Chiefs fans believe, the Glamour Boys will win the league this season. “I think we have a good, experienced squad to win the league this season. The guys are playing well this season.

“I enjoyed the game on September 17 when we beat Orlando Pirates. The team played well on the day and of course Tshabalala scored a beautiful goal,” he said with a smile.

Marketing and Brand Coordinator, Thato Matuka introduced the visibly elated youngster to the whole team before spending time kicking around with his hero Siphiwe Tshabalala.

More on the event will be aired on KCTV and on SuperSport on Thursday, 27 October, 2011. Follow on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
