South African Honorary Consul in Istanbul, Mr Remzi Gür, has expressed his appreciation and thanked Kaizer Chiefs for choosing Turkey for their pre-season training camp which will significantly bolster diplomatic and cultural ties between South Africa and Türkiye. Mr Remzi Gür's reconfirmed the potential commercial exchange and cooperation between the two nations, which he believes will be further strengthened.
"I'm delighted to have had the opportunity to meet with Kaizer Chiefs Management and explore ways to strengthen our nations' ties," said Mr. Remzy. "I'm thrilled to invite the team back to Türkiye for future training sessions and look forward to celebrating our warm relationships between our countries."
During engagements, Kaizer Chiefs management used the opportunity to promote sports and cultural tourism to South Africa, which was warmly received by Gür.
"We're eager to use our travels abroad to market and establish key stakeholder relationships foe South Africa," said Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung. "We look forward to welcoming many fans from Türkiye to our games in South Africa.”
Remzi Gur concluded, "I'm excited to see the growth of our friendship and the potential to explore new avenues for cooperation."
Chiefs will return to South Africa this week after spending three weeks Türkiye.
