Kaizer Chiefs did not release goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo and Erick Mathoho for the Nelson Mandela Challenge friendly match against Ivory Coast on Sunday afternoon.
After consultation with its Technical Team, the Club advised SAFA, through the PSL, about this decision.
Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba called up the duo Khuzwayo and Mathoho for the tie. The duo were in the squad that beat Sudan and played to a draw against Nigeria a fortnight ago.
The Amakhosi will be playing six Absa Premiership fixtures in eighteen days starting with a visit to Bidvest Wits on Wednesday, 3 December, which will be followed by a rescheduled Soweto Derby on Saturday, 6 December.
Chiefs will complete their fixtures before the festive break with the ties against Platinum Stars, Chippa United, Free State Stars and Black Aces.
