Kaizer Chiefs were drawn against Bidvest Wits in the semi-final of the 2014 Nedbank Cup. Chiefs will travel to Wits following the draw conducted at the PSL Headquarters this afternoon.

Coach Baxter had this to say after the draw:

Happy about the draw?

"To say we are happy to be drawn against Wits or any other Team will be disrespectful. To us this is just a different challenge. It is a tough draw, for us any Team we play is tough,"

Drawing a Joburg Team:

"Playing Wits maybe in Johannesburg will mean less travelling which is a positive out of the draw,"

Pressure on Chiefs?

"Pressure is upon us always. We planned to defend the both the League and Cup double. We will do our best to be competitive in all front,"

Handling pressure?

"It is about mental strength. At this stage of the league, around the world there's lots of emotions involved,"

Possibility of a Derby final?

"A Derby will be a fantastic final. Maybe that will be a carrot for the players,"

Playing Wits?

"Playing any team that is coached by Gavin (Hunt) is always tough. We have to play our A-game against them. There's no easy games in a Cup tie. In Cup games there are upsets and miscalculations, we will prepare accordingly"

The Nedbank Cup semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of the 3rd of May 2014. Dates and venues will be confirmed soon.
