Chiefs prominent in Afcon squad

Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba has included five Kaizer Chiefs players in his final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations squad.



The South African national team selection was announced on Tuesday. It included Amakhosi's goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo, defender Erick Mathoho, striker Bernard Parker as well as midfielders Mandla Masango and Reneilwe Letsholonyane.



Parker, who missed the qualifiers because of recovering from an injury, makes a welcome return to the squad.



The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Equatorial Guinea from 17 January to 8 February 2015.



THE SQUAD:



Goalkeepers: Brilliant Khuzwayo, Darren Keet, Jackson Mabokgwane



Defenders: Siyabonga Nhlapo, Patrick Phungwayo, Anele Ngcongca, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Mulomowandau Mathoho, Rivaldo Coetzee, Thabo Matlaba



Midfielders: Themba Zwane, Andile Jali, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Bongani Zungu, Thamsanqa Sangweni, Dean Furman, Thuso Phala, Mandla Masango, Oupa Manyisa



Strikers: Bernard Parker, Tokelo Rantie, Bongani Ndulula, Sibusiso Vilakazi
