Goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune and defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele have been called up to play for Bafana Bafana.



The South African duo will play in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mauritania on Friday, 2 September. The match is scheduled to take place at Mbombela Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:05.



Bafana Bafana have to win the match to still stand a chance of qualification, as Cameroon has already qualified in Group M.



Friday’s match will be followed up by the 22nd edition of the Nelson Mandela Challenge where South Africa will take on Egypt on Tuesday, 6 September. Kick-off at the Orlando Stadium is at 19:05.



Chiefs’ Zambian international striker Lewis Macha has been called up to represent his nation when they play at home, on Saturday, 3 September, against Kenya in the Group L of 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.



Similarly, in Group E, midfield kingpin Willard Katsande will lead his already qualified Zimbabwean national team away at Guinea on Sunday, 4 September.
