The players returned this morning to the Amakhosi Headquarters. Mashamaite played the full 90 minutes in Bafana Bafana’s 3 – 1 loss to Nigeria to earn his 3rd Cap. Khune played two of the three games to earn his 64th Cap. Parker, the scorer of the 4 goals in the tournament, played in all three games, earned his 67th Cap, while Siphiwe Tshabalala who also played in all three games was substituted in their game against Mali in the 81st minute to earn himself an 88th Cap in the Bafana Bafana jersey.

After the welcoming formalities, the Team went straight into a full training session. “All the Bafana Bafana players are back and so far they are not showing any sign of serious injuries. We will continue to monitor their situations,” said the Team Physio Dave Milner.

Coach Baxter said, “The National Team players came back to training and formed part of the full training this morning. We will determine their state of readiness and availability for selection as time goes on.”
