The Kaizer Chiefs reserve team will participate in the official handing over of the Huhudi Stadium in Vryburg - Fabian McCarthy's hometown - on March 21.

There are positive developments in the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Academy and the staff is working round the clock to finalise teams for all different age groups. The youth teams have now relocated to St Barnabus in Mondeor.

The teams have also been actively participating in a number of friendly games and recently humiliated teams from Protea Glen. One match had to be called off after the under-15s led 9-0 before halftime.

Academy coordinator Vincent Williams also reveals that the Amakhosi youth teams will, as of next season, start playing in the more competitive Rand Central League. The teams are currently affiliated to the Gauteng South Region.
