Kaizer Chiefs Reserves continued where they left off against Bidvest Wits when they beat Jomo Cosmos by 1-0 in a Monday Reserve League fixture match played at Eldorado Park Stadium on Monday, 22 April 2013.

Matthew Rusike's goal was enough to earn the Glamour Boys a win in what was an entertaining fixture played in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Kaizer Chiefs had a brightest start when Matthew Rusike playing his first game since an injury early March scored with a cheeky chip to give the hosts the lead.

The Glamour Boys playing with lots of confidence continued to dominate their opponents throughout the first stanza.

They came close to increasing the lead just before halftime when Rusike's shot went just wide.

Khotso Moleko seemed to enjoy himself playing in the unfamiliar wing role.

Halftime score was 1-0 to Chiefs.

Coach, Ace Khuse made two changes at the start of second half pulling out Kaizer Motaung JNR and scorer, Matthew Rusike with Tshowane Mokonyane and Nicholas Mynhardt taking the pitch respectively.

The move nearly paid immediate dividends with Josta Dladla coming close to grabbing a second goal from the hosts following a good move involving Mokonyane and Baloyi.

Cosmos tried to claw their way back into the game but found the hosts back four with two centre backs, Lorenzo Gordinho and Shawn Malinga in an uncompromising mood.

At the end of the day, Chiefs were deserved winners with 1-0.
