Kaizer Chiefs’ reserves will take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge this weekend. The match will be played at Mbombela’s Kanyamazane Stadium on Sunday, 20 September (kick-off is at 12:00).
Amakhosi played to a thrilling 4-all draw against Maritzburg United on Sunday, with coach Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse heaping praise on his charges: “We showed character by coming back from a 3-1 deficit at halftime.”
Emmanuel Letlotlo continued with his goal scoring form with another brace. Bongani Ndulula and Benni Malope netted as well. Letlotlo and Malope also scored when Chiefs thrashed Cosmos 4-0 in the opening fixture of this season’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge.
Chiefs are now in third position after two games played. University of Pretoria are in first position with six points, having the same number of points as Bloemfontein Celtic. Tuks, however, have a slightly better goal difference.
Platinum Stars and Mpumalanga Black Aces face each other before the Chiefs-Sundowns clash at the same stadium. That game kicks-off at 10:00.
Tickets for the MDC matches are free and can be collected at Computicket. However, the fans are required to have their ID documents at hand when picking up the tickets.
