The Chiefs Marketing Director revealed that more players will make a visit to the stand on Wednesday afternoon.
Chiefs have been a regular in the event that was hosted by Gauteng Province for the first time last year after being held in Dubai.
The event described by Fifa president, Sepp Blatter as “a must-attend football event in football calendar” will run up until Wednesday, 26 November 2008. This annual event showcases the business side of world football and is becoming as one of the most anticipated annual events in world football.
With eyes firmly on South Africa as the next hosts of 2010 Fifa World Cup, this year’s event attracted more interest from the world as it did during the previous year. Soccerex 2008 announced a record number of Fifa delegates that registered for this year’s event.
Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung expressed her delight at the club’s participation in this year’s event.
“We are delighted once again to be part of Soccerex. It our mission as a Club to become a global brand, Soccerex 2008 gave us an opportunity to share our ideas with other football biggest brands. Last year we were one of the few sides in the Premier Soccer League that had a stand and we received a positive feedback from people who visited our stand.
“We would like to invite Amakhosi faithful and football fanatics to visit us at our stand as Wednesday is the last day,” she said.
Chiefs will round off the day with a return to Orlando Stadium for the Absa Premiership clash against log leaders Golden Arrows.
