Kaizer Chiefs continued to strengthen their arsenal when they signed youngster, Nicholas Estefan Mynhardt on a two year plus 10 months deal.
Born on 22 April 1992, the striker was part of The Chance an initiative by Club’s technical sponsors Nike a unique global talent search that gives amateur footballers a chance to prove themselves on the elite stage and take their game to the next level.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com before the training session on Tuesday Estefan Mynhardt expressed his delight to have signed with the Glamour Boys.
“I could not stop smiling yesterday. It felt like a dream,” he said with a smile.
“I used to watch Kaizer Chiefs playing against Orlando Pirates and I never imagined that I would sign for one of the biggest Clubs in the continent. I am excited and look forward to working with the Technical Team here and training with the best players in the country. Estefan Mynhardt together with other members of The Chance trained with the team before their trip to Barcelona, Spain.
“I think the Technical Team including Arthur Zwane who was part of the coaches during The Chance was impressed with what he saw in me. When we arrived back from Europe Mr Bobby Motaung called and invited me over.
I am now going to give it my all in training and learn as much as I can from my teammates,” added Mynhardt who previously played for varsity team at Wits University.
