The team manager of the Kaizer Chiefs legends, Ryder Mofokeng, has released the starting line-up for today’s clash against a KZN Legends XI.

The game is part of the Siyabonga Nkosi Youth Festival and will be played at the Amajuba College Stadium, eMadadeni (kick off at 12:00).

The Amakhosi legends had a successful soccer clinic earlier this morning.

Today is, of course, Youth Day, to remember the fallen school kids on 16 June 1976 in Soweto.

“We saw how children revolted against the apartheid system,” Amakhosi legend Ace Khuse reflects. “It’s on this day that the way to freedom started.”

Another legend, Gardner Seale adds: “It was a day that brought changes and helped us to where we are today. Blacks are now liberated. It’s unfortunate that people had to die to achieve our liberation.”

The KZN legends will also field a strong team, including Fani Madida, Helman Mkhalele, Tsepo Tsoane, Manqoba Mkhize, Shawn Donnelly, Lucky Molefe, Sibusiso Zuma and Arthur Bartman.

Kaizer Chiefs Legends, starting line-up: Baloyi; Nzama, Spencer, Manyathi, Seale; Zwane, Makua, Molatedi, Khuse, Abel Shongwe; Doctor Khumalo.

Bench: William Shongwe, Fabian McCarthy, Maphike
