Amakhosi coach Vladimir Vermezovic is confident that his team have the strength to put behind them their recent disappointment of losing out in the MTN8 Final to Orlando Pirates, and respond in the best possible way when they take on Ajax Cape Town in an Absa Premiership game on Wednesday evening.

“Self analysis is always important after every game, we lost the game and must look at how we performed but me must put it out of our minds after that,” Vermezovic explained to Kaizerchiefs.com on Monday after putting his team through their paces in their first training session after Saturday’s final.

Looking ahead to the coming week Vermezovic explained, “the game on Saturday was a final game a special game, we did not play badly but we lost. Now we focus on our next game. It is an important match this game against Ajax because after this game we play Pirates again and then Celtic.

"We will go step by step three points against Ajax, followed by wins in our next two games will be good for us, the show must go on for us. We know that winning these games will help us maintain our lead at out in front on the standings."

As he also said “with two wins we can again build up our confidence, it is another day and another challenge for us, our life is like that. Football is the most beautiful thing every three days you have new opportunities to fix the problem and move on.

"Ajax is always dangerous they won their last league outing against Santos and after that they played us in the MTN8 Semi-final. Every game and each point is important to us the league is long and the race will be an interesting one.”

Vermezovic also had kind words for Willard Katsande who made his debut for the Amakhosi when he came on a substitute against Pirates, “It was his first game and many players don’t get to make their debut against Pirates, he is an international player who brings that experience to us as well as the fact that knows how to play in the PSL as he has valuable experience playing in South Africa.”

Chiefs will travel to Tuesday ahead of Wednesday evenings clash at the Cape Town Stadium which will kick off at 19h30.
