Kaizer Chiefs completed their preparations for their encounter against SuperSport United here, in Cape Town Stadium on Friday afternoon.
The Amakhosi will be looking at adding to 17 points amassed from the nine home matches they played this season.
According to coach Steve Komphela, "The team is ready and as you can see the mood is good in the camp."
In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and Chiefs have met in 50 league matches since 1990. Matsatsantsa have 19 wins compared to 18 for Amakhosi, while 13 matches have been drawn.
Komphela reflected on the stats, "If you look at this stats, I'm sure the supporters will be looking at this one as an opportunity to get even on the number of wins between the two teams. For us is to do the work for the supporters."
It is well documented that coach Komphela and United's coach Stuart Baxter are good friends. On the play side Chiefs' midfielder George Maluleka, full back Pa Gaxa and central defender Morgan Gould once played for United. On the other hand Kingston Nkhatha and Thuso Phala now at United were once Chiefs players.
Coach Komphela confirmed the unavailability of Kgotso Moleko due to injury picked up in the CAF match last weekend. "The rest of the lads are fine and it is just a matter of decision making overnight."
As for the supporters, especially Cape Townians this being the last of the three Cape of Love & Peace matches is not to be missed affair.
Tickets for the match are still available at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide at a cost of R60. No tickets will be sold at stadium.
