Kaizer Chiefs are on top of the Absa Premiership log for the fourth quarter (Q4). Earlier in the season, Amakhosi already won the first quarter (Q1).
Chiefs gained maximum points from their last five league outings. Free State Stars are second with 12 points from five matches, so three behind Amakhosi. Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United are both on eight points.
With only two league matches to go, this means that only Free State Stars can still catch up with Amakhosi.
Free State Stars will face Bloemfontein Celtic tomorrow on the road, before hosting Mpumalanga Black Aces at home on Saturday.
Chiefs host Bidvest Wits at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening (kick-off at 19:30), before finishing the season in Port Elizabeth with a match against Chippa United on Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 15:00).
With Amakhosi’s excellent goal difference of plus nine (versus Free Stars’ plus four), a win over the Students could mean that Chiefs will pocket Q4.
Tickets for the Chiefs’ last home match of the championship winning 2014/2015 season against Bidvest Wits are sold at Computicket for R40, while kids under the age of 12 pay R10.
