Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Pietermaritzburg to face Maritzburg United in their last fixture before the short 2019 Christmas break. The much-anticipated Absa Premiership fixture is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 22nd December.
The venue is the Harry Gwala Stadium and kick-off is 15:30.
The corresponding fixture played in August 2018 last season ended in a goalless deadlock. The second leg played in March 2019 at FNB Stadium ended with a 1-0-win to Amakhosi courtesy of Dumsani Zuma’s 50th minute goal.
Exploring the five games since Amakhosi collected the Q1 winner’s cheque, Amakhosi show superiority over the Team of Choice. Records show a winning streak of five games in a row to reach 13 games mark and riding the crest of the wave with 34 points. The Team of Choice shows an inconsistent record of a win, a loss and three draws resulting in 17 points and position nine on the log. Both teams have played thirteen matches.
Tickets to enter the 10000-capacity stadium are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide and MUFC Offices (397 Victoria Road) and MUFC Store (Liberty Midlands Mall) at a cost of R60 for adults and R20 for kids.
