Kaizer Chiefs will be traveling to eThekwini this Wednesday, 5 November 2014, to face the bottom of the log AmaZulu. The Absa Premiership returns after a weekend of mourning the death of South African sporting heroes, Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, Olympian Mbulaeni Molaudzi and boxer Phindile Mwelase.

Chiefs go into the encounter following what many pundits described as a ‘derailed Amakhosi train’ after dropping their first two points in the 2014/15 season at the hands of Moroka Swallows a fortnight ago.

AmaZulu are not enjoying their best of times as they are deeply rooted at the bottom of the log with only four points to show after nine games played this season.

“We are still leading the table with twenty five out of a possible twenty seven points this season,” comments Amakhosi’s Communications Manager Vina Maphosa ahead of this much awaited fixture. “The team is looking forward to the trip to the Moses Mabhida Stadium. It is our happy hunting ground and we always draw big crowds every time we play there. We would like to get back to winning ways on Wednesday night.”

“Last season alone,” continues Maphosa. “We trounced Usuthu twice with a three goal margin on both league occasions, 3-0 and 4-1 home and away. We are urging the Amakhosi supporters to attend the match in their numbers to give the team the edge over Usuthu in their own backyard.”

The match is scheduled for the 54 000 seater Moses Mabhida Stadium and tickets are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide. The cost for tickets range from R20 for women and children and R40 for men.

Kick-off for the match is at 19:30 and gates open at 16:30.
