Kaizer Chiefs will visit Highlands Park in their third fixture of the 2016/17 Absa Premiership season. Having started slow, with one defeat and a draw, Amakhosi will take a short trip to the East Rand to face ‘The Lions of the North’ looking at recording their first win of the season.

Chiefs will travel on Wednesday, 21 September, to Tembisa’s Makhulong Stadium, inspired by a one-all drawn match against Platinum Stars last Wednesday.

Lady luck was not on Amakhosi’s side when referee Victor Hlungwani awarded Stars a goal, which on replay showed clearly that the ball hadn’t crossed the goalline. Chiefs played well in the second half with Hendrick Ekstein scoring an equaliser to salvage a point at the FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi occupy 12th spot on the log after two games, while Highlands occupy 6th after having played only one match so far.

Tickets for the clash between Chiefs and Highlands are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationally at a cost of R40.

Kick-off is at 19:30 and gates open at 16:30.
