Amakhosi captain and goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, defenders Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Erick Mathoho are in the Bafana Bafana camp in preparation for the upcoming 2018 World Cup Russia qualifier match.

South Africa will play their first Group D match against Burkina Faso on Saturday, 8 October 2016. The match will take place at Ouagadougou’s Stade du 4 Août. Kick-off is at 6pm, local time (8pm, South African time).

Group D is completed by Cape Verde Islands and Senegal.
