The Castle Premier League game between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates scheduled for March 14 at Ellis Park has been postponed as Pirates have three players on duty with the national under-23.

According to a statement from the Premier League, the Buccaneers have requested a postponement and the game will now take place at a date yet to be finalised.

The PSL statement reads: "Kindly be informed that Orlando Pirates has requested for post6ponement of their league fixtures due to having three players in the national under-20 squad due to leave for Ethiopia on Sunday March 4 and expected back 3/4 April 2001.

"Amongst the fixtures that will be impacted is your (Kaizer Chiefs) league fixture scheduled for the 14th March 2001. We therefore advise you that the fixture is postponed and the following dates are more or less available as new dates – 11 April or 30 May and 2/3 June.

The statement, from PSL manager Bafana Dhlamini further reads: "Looking at the fixtures you may notice the dates of 25 April and 2nd May 2001 being 'available' but they are not, they clash with the South African senior squad programme."

Bafana Bafana will play against Italy in an international friendly on April 25 in Rome. They then play against Zambia on May 5 in a World Cup qualifier, which means a game on May 2 could be impossible.
