We do struggle with role models for young people and for these children to look up to the Kaizer Chiefs players is really good. The initiative is also going to boost the morale of both boys and girls. We would like to thank Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung for making this possible and a big thank you to the Club,”

Ladies Soccer U19s Gloria Mthombeni a Kaizer Chiefs fan was all smiles as she had an opportunity to meet the players and assistant coach; “It means a lot because I have always wanted to meet the players especially Keegan Ritchie who is my favourite player.

“As ladies we were about to give up but having Chiefs players here today will without a doubt go a long way in inspiring us to continue with our dreams of playing for Banyana Banyana one day,” added Mthombeni who plays as a defender for the ladies team.

The parents were delighted for their children; “We are very delighted the kids could meet their favourite players. My son was up early this morning asking; “When are we going dad?”. He was anxious for the whole week. This will be on their memories for life. This is the type of experience that they will share even with their grandchildren. It is an experience of a life time, “said Michael Fell whose 13 year old boy, Brandon is a playing soccer for the school.

Bernard Parker was delighted with the outing; “It is always good to take some time off and play with children. You could see on their faces that they were delighted to see us. This is also part of the strategy from the Club to take the brand to the people in particular young ones.

Maphosa was also delighted with the proceedings; “We would like to thank the school for inviting us to spend time here this afternoon. It was a day well spent and we could not have asked for more as the Club.
