The University of Free State was a hype of activity on Monday during an activation by Kaizer Chiefs in conjunction with their main sponsor Vodacom.
The activation was part of the build-up to the Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic at Free State Stadium on Tuesday, 17 September 2013.
Students took advantage of their lunch hour to attend the event and got to interact with Club's officials led by Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung.
The students who came through did not go back to their afternoon classes empty handed as they won prizes courtesy of Vodacom and Kaizer Chiefs.
Vodacom also used the opportunity to promote their new product, "My 5", through human fussball, something the students enjoyed.
The mobile Kaizer Chiefs Retail Store was also present to give students an opportunity to buy exclusive Club merchandise while others got to register and renew Club membership.
Student Representative Council, Vice President, Tshepo Moloi (21) paid a tribute to both Club and Vodacom for bringing the activation to the varsity.
He commented speaking to kaizerchiefs.com; "It is one of the biggest days at the university this year. It is the first time that we have had the two brands, Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom activating on campus.
You can see how happy the students are to interact with Kaizer Chiefs Management.
It is a real experience for students to interact with the champions. Thank you once more for coming to our campus."
Earlier on in the day, Kaizer Chiefs visited Tsoseletso High School in Bloemfontein and received a warm welcome from the learners and teachers. The message of encouragement delivered by Jessica Motaung went down well with the learners and teachers at the school.
"This was a great experience. Education is fundamental to our responsibility as a Club. We have always aligned our strategy with National questions and speaking at the school and interacting with university students is in line with that. We hope that our presence here will leave a mark and inspire the learners to greatness," said Jessica Motaung.
The Club will visit Ihobe Intermediate School and Central University of Technology on Tuesday.
