Kaizer Chiefs will welcome Polokwane City FC in a home-away-from-home fixture scheduled at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 6 October.
In their midweek matches, Chiefs played to a goalless draw away against Highlands Park, while Polokwane City FC played to a 1-1 draw against SuperSport United.
In last season’s head-to-head fixtures, Ryan Moon and Dumsani Zuma will have good memories after they led Chiefs to a 2-1 victory with Walter Musona pulling one back for Polokwane City FC while the two sides shared the spoils in the first round.
Saturday’s Absa Premiership fixture will be played behind closed doors. The lockout is a result of the order imposed by the Disciplinary Committee of the PSL. This followed the events of 21 April 2018 at Moses Mabhida Stadium after the Nedbank Cup match against Free State Stars when fans invaded the pitch and caused damage to property.
The match is shown live on SuperSport 4. We ask supporters to please not to come to the stadium, but to watch the game at home.
